Cleanouts or access doors and expansion joints are common to high pressure blowline piping. Occasionally high pressure systems plug and cleanouts or access doors allow a certain portion of the system to be purged. Expansion joints are used with long straight runs of pipe because the pipe will expand and contract depending on the ambient temperature. Abort gates in high pressure systems are used when spark detection and filters are involved at the end of the high pressure system.
